2019 IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship – Spain

The winners of the junior IHF Intercontinental Trophy in Kosovo will qualify directly to the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship, to be held in Spain in July.

Following the IHF Executive Committee meeting last Friday at the IHF headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, it was decided that if the USA or Nigeria win the junior’s category of the 2018/19 IHF Men’s Trophy - Intercontinental Phase and thus gain an automatic qualification spot through to the 2019 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship in Spain, as they have already qualified through their continental qualification pathway, the next best-ranked team from either the USA or Nigeria continental qualification (North American and the Caribbean – NACHC – or Africa – CAHB) will take the compulsory place of the continent.
